Headquarters Bar and Grill: A Dream Born from Compassion and Resilience

The Headquarters Bar and Grill has its beginning rooted in the resilience and compassion of it’s, owner Jason Herron. In the COVID-19 pandemic, when bars and restaurants were forced to close, Jason Herron, a Kent State alumni and passionate sports fan, found a way to make a positive impact. Inspired by his love for the local service industry workers he had befriended over the years, Herron founded #StillTipping, an online movement dedicated to supporting those struggling during these challenging times.

The initiative began with a simple idea – pooling money to provide gift cards for service industry workers who had lost their jobs. What started as a small gesture quickly turned into a widespread movement. With the help of friends and strangers alike, Herron's #StillTipping Facebook Live events gained popularity, evolving into a weekly occurrence.

The premise was straightforward: anyone interested could enter their name via Facebook for a chance to win gift cards. The response was overwhelming, with thousands of names collected within a short period. Through the generosity of Herron and the growing community, over $30,000 has been given away to individuals in need.

As #StillTipping continued to bring joy and relief to many, tragedy struck in Jason Herron's personal life. His beloved father, who was not only his father but also his best friend, passed away. Despite the heartbreak, Herron found strength in honoring his father's memory and decided to pursue his lifelong dream – opening a bar and grill.

And so, Headquarters Bar and Grill was born.

Headquarters Bar and Grill is more than just a business venture for Herron; it's a tribute to his father and a beacon of inspiration for generations to come. With a mission to bring fun back in a big way, the establishment promises to be a place where there will be trivia, live music, darts, and beautiful memories will be made.

As Herron embarks on this new chapter, he carries with him the spirit of kindness and community that defined #StillTipping. The Headquarters Bar and Grill stands not only as a testament to Herron's resilience in the face of personal loss but also as a symbol of hope, camaraderie, and the power of turning dreams into reality.
